MINECRAFT MADNESS
June 2 – June 6 | 9 am – 2 pm
(Ages 6-8) Maximum Registration: 15
Jump into the world of Minecraft! Participants of this introductory camp will explore concepts such as coding, engineering, mathematics and design, as they choose their own course of interest and discover the fundamental mechanics of the game. Campers will also approach gameplay from a new angle through offline Minecraft-inspired activations!
TINKER WITH TECH
June 2 – June 6 | 9 am – 2 pm
(AGES 9 – 11) Maximum Registration: 8
Learn how CAD software is used in architecture, engineering, and video games, and apply the steps of the design thinking process to create original designs in TinkerCAD, while building laser cut and 3D-printed inventions.
ROBOT REVOLUTION
June 9 – June 13 | 9 am – 2 pm

Robots influence our day-to-day lives without us even realizing it, but what exactly are robots, and what do they do? Campers will delve into the world of robotics and practice coding, building and driving skills, and piloting high-flying drones! Participants will also enjoy engaging in friendly competitions on the field during this interactive camp centered on teamwork, problem-solving and collaboration.
MAGICAL ADVENTURES

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a superhero? Join us as we use the power of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math to uncover the secrets behind superpowers and special abilities! Channel your inner champion and engage in superhero training, test your super skills, and create your very own superhero identity as you run, leap and “fly” through this extraordinary, action-packed camp!
DINOSAUR DETECTIVES
July 7 – July 11 | 9 am – 2 pm

Long, long ago from the ancient Triassic seas to the forgotten jungles of the Cretaceous, dinosaurs flourished on a strange earth. Eons have passed, and DISCOVERY’S Junior Paleontologists must piece together evidence from the ancient world to uncover clues about the forgotten age of dinosaurs. Junior Paleontologists will view the distant past through the lens of biology and botany as they explore fossils and prehistoric plants, and showcase their learning through the construction of Jurassic dioramas!
SUPER-SECRET SPIES
July 14 – July 18 | 9 am – 2 pm
(AGES 6 – 7) Maximum Registration: 15
(AGES 8 – 9) Maximum Registration: 15
DISCOVERY’s Super-Secret Spies will put their surveillance skills to the test as they analyze a mysterious scene. Campers will put on their detective hats as they uncover clues, collect and test evidence, determine motives and rely on their investigative instincts to solve a mystery! Super-Secret Spies will practice attention to detail through DNA detection, fingerprint analysis and secret code deciphering. Revealing the truth will require curious campers to engage in critical thinking, decision-making, communication, careful observation, and patience!
Don’t Forget to Pack a Lunch
PLEASE NOTE: Lunch is not provided with our summer camp experience. Campers must bring a bag lunch to camp each day.
Registration Information for Summer Camps
Registering your child for the exciting and educational Summer Camps at DISCOVERY Children’s Museum is easy and straightforward. Follow our step-by-step guide below to ensure your child’s spot in our enriching summer program. Act quickly, as spaces are limited and fill up fast!
- Select Your Camp: Browse our diverse selection of summer camps. Each camp is designed with specific age groups and interests in mind, ensuring a perfect fit for your child.
- Fill Out Registration Forms: Complete the necessary registration forms with your child’s information, including any medical or dietary needs. You’ll also need to complete Emergency Contact forms, Photo Release forms, and Authorized Adult Drop Off/Pick Up forms.
- Submit Your Payment: Secure your child’s place by submitting your payment. Check for early bird specials that may apply for early registrations to save on fees.
- Confirmation: After submitting your registration and payment, you will receive a confirmation email with further details about the camp, including what your child should bring, arrival and dismissal procedures, and any pre-camp communication.
Cancellation Policy
Registrations canceled 14 days before the start of the summer camp will receive a refund, less a $35 administrative fee. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Reservations@discoverykidslv.org
